Your local insurance agency of choice
Nothing is more satisfying than being able to make your community better
At FM Agency Group for 2020 we identified three organizations we are going to contribute to monthly
For every dollar we collect in insurance premiums we will contribute a portion into these three organizations
Education is the theme for 2020 so we encourage others to help
With Donors Choose you can select the school and the project and give whatever amount you can
We like the donors choose organization because it allows us to invest in a local school in our community
Here is an example from Mr. Dollas at Ellender Elementary school in Marrero
"Unfortunately, a home computer is considered to be a luxury item. Therefore, many of our students come to school with little to no computer skills or knowing the many educational purposes a computer can serve.
Regrettably, school funds are very limited when it comes to purchasing enough computers for the students.
STEM literacy is a must and these students are our future. We need to protect our future and invest in these students"

The Privateer Pledge
Starting in the fall 2020 semester, the University of New Orleans will begin offering the Privateer Pledge, a promise that the University will fill the unmet financial need for tuition and fees of eligible New Orleans students.
The pledge applies to Orleans Parish residents who graduate from a public or private Orleans Parish high school. In order to qualify, students must be admitted as a freshman to the University of New Orleans and must have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They must also be eligible for a Pell Grant and their annual family income cannot exceed $60,000. The first group of Privateer Pledge freshman students will need to enroll full-time by July 1, 2020 for the fall 2020 semester.
“A University of New Orleans education can transform a student’s life,” said President John Nicklow. “The Privateer Pledge is our promise to eligible Orleans Parish students that we will marshal all of the federal, state and institutional aid necessary to fill any financial gap for tuition and fees. This will support greater access to higher education and ensure there is one less obstacle in a student’s pursuit of a UNO degree.”
In order to maintain the award, students must remain enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 hours) and keep a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
The Privateer Pledge covers four years of unmet need for tuition and fees or until graduation, whichever happens first. The pledge is not retroactive. For more information on how to apply to the University of New Orleans
